Building Character, Connecting a Community
The Shawnee Park plan integrates a wide diversity of distinctively-designed, superior housing that will appeal to a broad range of Calgarians and give rise to a community of unparalleled architectural character and quality. This clustered, human-scale development will be built responsibly for sustainability, security, accessibility and overall community vibrancy and well-being.
Shawnee Park’s people-oriented amenities, including village-focused retail and network of trails and open spaces, will offer residents convenience and connections that enhance interaction and community, offer mobility choices, and encourage an active and healthy lifestyle.
Three key areas are planned within Shawnee Park – Shawnee Village and the Village Square, the Grand Boulevard and its residential clusters, and Park’s Edge. Each will offer different housing, amenities, activities and experiences.

Design highlights include:
Courtyard Cluster Developments – The use of sympathetic development types, in particular the use of strata titles, allow the retention of the “treed urban woodlands”. Homes are situated more closely together in order to free up more green space for everyone’s enjoyment. This also helps foster a better sense of belonging and greater socializing. Our units will primarily be low-density detached homes with no fences or traditional yards to create an increased open, accessible space.
Living in the Park – The illustration below shows how proposed single family detached houses would be set back from the south boundary, keeping the existing tree belt.
Grand Boulevard – The proposed Shawnee Park Boulevard is projected to be a “Grand Boulevard.” As the signature street through Shawnee Park, it would feature a substantial treed median with a linear park of existing trees into the primary streets, reflecting the practices of elite developments in such cities as Boston and other New England locations. The westbound lane is illustrated.
